Chunlan Group Corp. is a diversified, high-tech, international company with manufacturing, R & D, investment and trade divisions dispersed throughout China. It is one of China’s Top 50 enterprise groups. Chunlan has over 42 independent subsidiaries (including 18 manufacturing companies), Chunlan Research Institute, Chunlan College, Post-doctoral Working Station and State-level R & D Center. With such a large organization Chunlan noticed that their communications were slow and sometime cumbersome to arrange. Being an international entity they needed to compete with other such groups for customers and contracts. The board of directors for Chunlan group decided that a solution needed to be found.

In late 2000 Chunlan Group started testing video conferencing systems from a variety of manufacturers. They needed a solution that could support at least 42 sites with a host of features such as Chairman Control, FECC, Dual video and the ability to split VC images & display them on separate screens. After months of testing, Chunlan finally decided upon DST Media’s MCS and TVS products for their video conferencing needs. Today Chunlan uses six TVS units to display 46 separate images onto 46 separate plasma screen TVs.

Since Chunlan Group installed their Video conferencing solution they have saved on average, 30 million RMB a year, and greatly improved their operating efficiency. Their primary use for Video Conferencing is now training. Now a quicker more responsive organization, Chunlan has been able to increase their market share and decrease their response times to their customer’s demands.
